The Forest Regional Residents’ Civic Association (FRRCA) is proud to join forces with the YMCA, New York Blood Center, and the Richmond County District Attorney’s Office for an important community blood drive!

OUR CIVIC'S COMMUNITY DONATION & CHARITABLE COLLECTION DRIVE!
The Forest Regional Residents Civic Association (FRRCA) is collecting items year-round to help our neighbors and local organizations. Have something you no longer need? Don’t throw it away —
donate it!
USED EYEGLASSES- Any eyeglasses with all their parts intact (lenses not required). Our collection will be sent to Lions International for people in need.
FOOD DRIVE- Non-perishable food only.
BOOKS- Adult and children’s books for the Little Free Library locations in our neighborhood and we’ll distribute.
CHILDREN’S SUPPLIES- Children’s equipment such as highchairs, strollers, and similar items, plus unopened diapers. Donations will be provided to Crossroads
to support local children and families. NO FOOD OR TOYS, PLEASE
BICYCLES-Donate a bicycle in any condition and receive 2 FREE FerryHawks tickets! Bikes are rehabilitated by the NYC DOT and distributed to those in need.
Please attach your name and mailing address to the bicycle so we know where to send your tickets.
MEDICAL EQUIPMENT- New or gently used medical equipment and supplies, such as walkers, canes, crutches, wheelchairs, shower chairs, and similar items. Donations will be provided to Metropolitan Area Church Missions to help people in need.
DROP-OFF LOCATION: 500 BARD AVE (House next to CVS)
A drop-off bin is located in the driveway. Please leave your items in a bag in the bin. For larger items that do not fit in the donation bin, please leave them at the back of the house near the garage. If rain is expected, please drop off your item another time or make sure it is properly protected from the weather.

Location: See our NEW donation bin (pictured) in the driveway of 500 Bard Ave (white house behind CVS).
Event details:
As you many not be aware, there are many needy families that attend PS45 as well as IS61. In response to that need, they have established a food and clothing pantry. They collect non-perishable food items and kids clothing up to 8th grade (including infant clothing). Boxed non- perishable foods only (no can opener foods)
Eyeglasses: Any eyeglasses with all their parts intact (lenses not required). The LIONS International will be sent our collection for those in need.
